Gold Coast University Hospital

Work is well underway on Queensland's new 750 overnight-bed teaching hospital at Southport. It is part of a significant expansion of Gold Coast health services.
The $1.76 billion Gold Coast University Hospital is one of the largest public health projects underway in Australia.
The tertiary level hospital will be a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest technology to assist staff to provide the highest level of care and comfort to our patients.
The State Government owned and operated hospital will be located on the corner of Parklands Drive and Olsen Avenue, Southport. It forms part of the Government's new Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct planned for the area.
It will be equipped as a teaching hospital for medical, nursing and allied health students, and will also encompass research facilities on-site.
The hospital will be within walking distance of the planned Gold Coast Rapid Transit System and Griffith University, providing ease of access for patients, staff, students and visitors.
To ensure the hospital can meet the needs of future generations, the 19 hectare site has been designed to allow flexibility for future expansion as demand for services change and grow.
