Gold Coast Health Service District provides community mental health care through the Acute Care Team (ACT) and the Continuing Care Team (CCT). It is located at Suite 10/207 Currumburra Road, Ashmore. This is on the corner of Green Glenn Street.

The Acute Care Team is an assertive community focussed multi-disciplinary mobile service and is the initial entry point for all referrals – it is the interface with the community. It incorporates functions of mental health intakes, triages, assessments and psychiatric reviews through a collaborative approach which includes consumers, their families and relevant community based service providers.

There are 4 teams of consultants and registrars who provide this care through the Homeless Health Outreach Team (HHOT) and Mobile Intensive Treatment Team (MITT) along with the Emergency Department of the Gold Coast Hospital.
